AMONG THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN EUROPE
SATURNIA
Second most beautiful spas in Europe!
It is only 40 minutes from our farmhouse , towards the interior of the Maremma. In Saturnia you can take advantage of both the spectacular public and private spas located just ahead.
The public thermal baths are nothing more than a river with turquoise-white streams and waterfalls, due to the strong presence of calcium. The temperature is constant around 37 degrees and its composition is sulphurous-carbon-sulphate-bicarbonate-alkaline-earthy. The public baths are free: they have two large parking areas and a refreshment bar. The access points are two:
1. from above, next to car park number two (in days of low turnout, however, car park number two is closed). From this access point there is a large garden and the river has created niches where it is very pleasant to stop despite the current being strong enough.
2. from below, near the car park number 1 and the bar, there is access to the river and the lower pool area.

THE PRIVATE SPA
The private spas are located in a modern, large complex, where you can find large marble tubs with variable water temperatures, as well as a series of services dedicated to relaxation and well-being.

BOTH FREE AND PRIVATE
PETRIOLO
It is only 50 minutes from our farmhouse, direction to Siena. As for Saturnia here the thermal springs are both freely access and private.
Temperature of water is always about 43 degrees and the composition of water is hydrogen sulphate, free carbon dioxide, Calcium, fluoride ions, chloride, sulphate, hydrogen carbonate.
ANTIQUE AND MODERN
VENTURINA
One hour and ten minutes from our Farmhouse, north direction to tirrenic cost you will find the new, modern Terme di Venturina. Temperature of water is from 31 degrees of the external pool to the 36 degrees of the internal one. Composition of water is: sulfate-calcium-magnesium-bicarbonate-alkalin earth.

Terme di Calidario,typical and Roman thermal spring, where the temperature of water is always 36 degrees and it has the same properties of the thermal water of Venturina. Both the structure are private, they have a spa and restaurants.

BETWEEN NEW AND ANTIQUE
SORANO
Same distance to ou farmhouse, there is the big spa of Sorano. With very large relax spaces and among its pools there is an ancient spring located above the church with water temperature of 36 degrees. This structure has a spa area and a restaurant.

We would like to mention other important spas which are a little bit further, about one hour and fourty minutes from Podere Prataccio, but at the same time they are so charming.
FOSSO BIANCO
bagni san Filippo
Bagni San Filippo is located between Orcia valley and Mount Amiata. Here you can admire the famous “Fosso bianco”. Thermal waters created a magic and unique passage, fortunately with free access. Nearby there is also the thermal spring with pool and spa. Temperature of water is maybe the highest 48 degrees and composition of water is: sulphurous-solphate, calcium and hyperthermal magnesic.
BETWEEN NEW AND ANTIQUE
Rapolano
Rapolano terme is about 15 minutes from Siena. You will find two structures: San Giovanni, modern structure with every comfort, spa and restaurant. The second one Antica Querciolaia, structure of the second half of the ninenteenth century, with big pools both internal and external, all in travertino and with different water temperature with the highest 40 degrees. A beautiful park to have a break, a spa and a bar area.
